We will carpool or ride the shuttle bus to the trailhead for Happy Isles, a system of several islands in the Merced River. This is a great place for intimate landscapes, and to practice photography with moving water.  Conditions permitting, those who are interested will proceed up the Muir Trail to the bridge below Vernal Falls to photograph this astounding waterfall in winter conditions. Please dress warmly, and bring clip-on crampons if available.
